Initally, I wanted to call this sweet necklace Spiraling or Spirals (because Lauren and I tend to spiral). But then I was listening to ANOHNI's 2009 record The Crying Light and the song Kiss My Name just hit me. A song so beautiful and deep! The images for this necklace were made at a cemetery in Queens where my Sicilian ancestors are buried. I kiss the names on their gravestones when bringing them flowers and so, this all just suddenly made so much sense, beautiful peace.
